Our success story
Gram Panchayat Kendrewadi is a small but progressive village in the
Ahmedpur taluka of Latur district. The village has a population of
1,012 with 182 families. Although small in size, Kendrewadi is known
for its strong culture of social work, environmental protection and
national service. An exceptional 82 soldiers from this village
currently serve in the Indian Armed Forces, and many entrepreneurs
from Kendrewadi are successfully running businesses in countries such
as the USA, Canada and Malaysia.
One of the most remarkable contributions comes from Hon. Shri Ashok
Kaka Kendre, whose Sai Ganesh Military Foundation at Rudra Pati,
Ahmedpur, has trained and facilitated the recruitment of over 30,000
youth into various defence and security forces. This has brought
immense pride and recognition to Kendrewadi across Maharashtra.
Through large-scale afforestation activities, the village has planted
over 2,400 trees and successfully implemented the “One House – Three
Trees” campaign, creating a greener and healthier environment. Today,
Kendrewadi stands as a shining example of how collective effort,
proper planning and transparent governance can transform a village
into a benchmark of inclusive and sustainable development.
